I’M A BIRMINGHAM BORN, CORNWALL RESIDING ARTIST WITH A DIE HARD LOVE FOR COFFEE. A LOT OF THE TIME I’LL BE BEHIND THE HOUSE’S COFFEE MACHINE (COME & SAY HI), BUT WHEN THE OPPORTUNITY ARISES, I’LL BE IN THE STUDIO FLICKING PAINT AROUND. MY CURRENT WORKS ARE FOR SALE OFF OF THE WALLS OF THE COFFEE HOUSE.
IN 2019, I STARTED A SMALL INDIE COFFEE HOUSE ON THE INDUSTRIAL ESTATE ON THE PERIPHERY CORNWALL’S LITTLE HEAVEN, BUDE. BOLSTERING MY PASSION FOR ART WITH MY LOVE FOR GOOD COFFEE, THE IDEA WAS TO CREATE A SPACE WHERE EVERYONE FEELS WELCOME, NO PRETENCE, GREAT COFFEE & QUALITY BITES. WITH THIS PREMISE AT HEART, HOUSE OF CHAPLIN WAS BORN.
IN THE SUMMER OF 2021, AN OPPORTUNITY AROSE TO BRING THE HOUSE TO BUDE’S TOWN CENTRE. NOW SITUATED ON BUDE’S MORWENNA TERRACE, OUR MENUS - WHILST KEEPING TO THE SAME ETHOS - HAVE GROWN & WE HAVE ADDED FRIDAY & SATURDAY EVENINGS TO THE MIX BRINGING HIGH QUALITY, LOW BROW COCKTAILS, WINES, CRAFT BEERS & OF COURSE, GOOD MUSIC TO BUDE’S WEEKEND EVENING BUSTLE.
